About the album "Première"

"... young musicians, given the fact that this combination of instruments does not have a lot of pieces at its disposal (the album contains some arrangements from other ensembles, i.e. Arvo Pärt's Fratres), ordered new compositions from their colleagues from the Warsaw University of Music. So we can find here pieces by Ignacy Zalewski, Andrzej Karałow and Edward Sielicki; there is also a composition by Barbara Kaszuba, who herself (she is a violinist) performed the piece in another ensemble. Plus there are some international names: Graciane Finzi, Yuji Takahashi and a youth miniature by Rodion Shchedrin - Imitating Albeniz, written for his wife Maya Plisetskaya. In the centre of the album - two solo pieces, one for violin (Bartosz Kowalski) and one for accordion (Miłosz Bembinow), written as mandatory pieces for music competitions. Music of various stylistycs and different qualities, but overall an excellent performance."
